The 2020 Historic Germantown 8K is now a Virtual Only Event

To our runners, walkers, friends, and community members,

It is with great sadness that we have to cancel the 3rd Annual Historic Germantown 8K. Simply put, it is not our choice. You only have a race if you have a permit to produce a race and unfortunately due to the ongoing pandemic, we will not be issued permit to host this event. We completely understand and support the decision made by the City of Germantown and understand how an event of our size doesn't fit the current guidelines.

That said if you have not registered and would still like to be a part of our virtual event, we would love to have you! Simply hit the X in the top right, click sign up, and register!

We'll end by stating that we get the frustrations everyone feels. The Advanced Running Project is owned and operated by a competitive runner who longs to race and to produce races. Thus this is obviously not the end result we wanted either. Know that we will be back though and we appreciate your continued support in the interim. Until then, keep running because running isn't cancelled!

Why run the Historic Germantown 8K?

Set in quaint and historic Germantown, this is truly Ohio's most beautiful race. Overflowing with rich history at every turn, scenic countryside lined by gently flowing streams, and one of the world's most unique covered bridges. As you make your way through town to the finish you will be greeted by live music, great food, a custom finisher medal, and for those quick enough, handmade in the USA wooden awards. This is truly an event for the entire family and all of your friends!

Countdown to race day!
